As of today we have survived 22 months with the twins and guess what, the girls did too!! It has been a roller coaster ride, but we feel so blessed. Cora and Caroline are hitting milestones so fast I am sure I'll miss a few. I will attempt to update those of you who we don't see very often.
We have been enrolled at Little Gym for the summer and C & C have really enjoyed learning new tricks. They are walking on the balance beam (with assistance), rolling forward, pulling up on the high bar, swinging on the rings and learning to jump. It is fun to watch them progress and learn new tasks every week.
Cora and Caroline are also learning new words so fast it is hard to keep up. Their newest words are "paci" and "show". They also refer to each other as "sissy" which is too cute! We took them to the beach this past weekend and they were allowed to have the paci for the car ride AND we borrowed a DVD player for the car. Now when we get in the car they both shout "SHOW, SHOW"!! It is cute for about 2 minutes, then just annoying. My plan is to "lose" the paci at the 2 year mark. This will be a struggle, esp with Caroline!
Caroline has recently taken the role of little mommy. She is constantly "taking care" of Cora: getting her milk, a snack or her Dougie. It is so sweet! She even offers to help change her diaper and pats her on the head or back when she is upset.
Cora continues to be very laid back and easy going. She often allows Caroline to take her toys or be the boss. That is until she has had enough. Sometimes this ends in a fight or biting. Cora not only looks like her Daddy, she has much of his attitude.
