Great Wolf Lodge and other not so fun adventures......

Cora playing skee ball.

Stephen, myself, and the girls headed to Concord for an overnight vacation to The Great Wolf Lodge.
We ventured on the trip with our friends, Dan and Amanda.  Their daughter, Katy, is also three.  We arrived at 1ish ready to play at the indoor water park.  After checking in and getting swim suits on, we headed in....

After playing for about an hour, Cora decided she was ready to get out of her floaties and wrap up in a towel.  (I should have known this was strange....)  After holding her for 30 mins or so we sat down on the side of the kiddie pool to watch Katy and Caroline play.
We were about to relocate, when I got up and attempted to have Cora stand.  She did not immediately put her feet to the ground, so I called her name and asked her to please walk over to where Caroline was playing.

When she didn't, I looked at her face..... she was blue , eyes rolled back and totally limp!!! OMG!!!
She was having a seziure, but how did this happen???  She was fine just minutes ago...

After a long sequence of events, we ended up on the ambulance, then in the Emergency Room.
As it turns out, this was a febrile sezurie.  This is caused by a rapid increase in temputure, not terribly uncommon.  We were terrified, of course!!  After several hours in the ER, she perked up and ate a popcile.  We were happy to see our smiling daugther once again.....

In the end, everything turned out ok!! By 7:30 that night she was running and playing again, what a welcome sight!!

Huge thanks to Dan and Amanda for being there to assist, keeping Caroline and picking us up from the hospital!!!  And kudos to the staff at Great Wolf Lodge, they were a great team ready to respond to our emergency!!

That's just incredibly horrible! So sorry!!!! What a rollercoaster in such a short amount of time. Glad Cora was surrounded by plenty of medically inclined people.
